Linen has been a staple of South Asian dressing for centuries, and for good reason. Its natural breathability and elegant drape make it the most intelligent choice for our climate, long before anyone thought to market it as luxury.
01Why we love linen
Our premium linen is chosen for softness and durability rather than weight alone. Unlike synthetic fabrics, linen improves with wear. It softens with every wash and develops a patina that becomes uniquely yours, which is why a good linen piece outlives most of the wardrobe around it.
It also behaves in heat the way nothing else does. The fibre breathes, releases moisture quickly and keeps its shape through a long day, so a linen co-ord reads as composed at seven in the evening as it did at nine in the morning.
Linen does not resist time. It records it.
02Linen in our collection
We cut linen for quiet, tailored silhouettes: clean high necklines, delicate knot closures and sweeping pleated wide-leg trousers. The fabric asks for restraint, so the detailing stays artisanal rather than decorative.
For something softer in silhouette, the wrap pieces take the same fabric somewhere more relaxed: a wrap-style V-neck trimmed in scalloped lace, or a lemon linen shirt cut for the hottest weeks of the year.
03Caring for your linen
- Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Air dry. Avoid the dryer to preserve the fibre.
- Iron while slightly damp for the best finish.
- Embrace the natural wrinkles. They are part of linen's character, not a flaw in it.
Treated this way, a linen piece from our atelier will be softer in its third summer than its first.
