Spring is the moment to lighten everything: the fabric, the palette, the amount of effort a look demands. Here is how we style the collection for the three occasions that fill a Pakistani spring calendar.
01A casual day out
Reach for linen. Pair a pastel co-ord with simple gold jhumkas and embroidered khussas, and keep the dupatta draped loosely rather than pinned. The whole point of a spring day look is that it should take four minutes to assemble and still read as considered.
02An evening gathering
Spring evenings ask for something with a little light in it. Embroidered pieces in soft palettes work beautifully, because delicate threadwork catches lamplight in a way that heavy embellishment does not. Add statement earrings and a small clutch, and let the neckline do the rest.
In spring, let the fabric move. Everything else can stay still.
03A festive occasion
For festive spring events, go fuller: block print, richer colour, a dupatta worth draping properly. Traditional jewellery earns its place here. Let the garment be the centre of the look and keep everything else deliberately quiet.
04Three rules that hold all season
- Let one thing be loud. Embroidery, colour or jewellery, never all three at once.
- Fit beats embellishment. A simple piece cut correctly outdresses an ornate one that does not sit right.
- Choose fabric for the hour. Linen for daylight, silk for lamplight. It is the oldest rule and still the most reliable.
Still deciding
Tell us the occasion. We will style it.
Send our stylist the event, your palette and your budget, and we will come back with pieces. Every piece is crafted to order, so pret takes 7 to 10 working days.
